Nurturing the nature: Hua Cheng’s Go Green Day at Coney Island Reflects Our Commitment to a Greener Singapore

At Hua Cheng, our purpose extends far beyond the classroom. While we remain dedicated to nurturing young minds, we also believe in nurturing the world we live in. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we recently gathered over 30 staff members for a meaningful “Go Green” event at Coney Island — a vibrant natural habitat and treasured green space in Singapore.

Walking the Talk on Sustainability

On 23 June, our passionate team rolled up their sleeves and spent the day picking up litter, sorting recyclables, and helping to preserve the pristine beauty of Coney Island. This group effort was more than just a clean-up — it was a reflection of our belief that everyone has a role to play in protecting the environment and giving back to society.

By stepping out of our regular work routine and into the nature, we are reminded that corporate responsibility isn’t just about business — it’s about care, conscience, and community. At Hua Cheng, we’re proud to be an organisation that values not just students’ academic progress, but also social impact and environmental sustainability.

Loving Nature, Loving Our Country

We strongly believe that keeping Singapore clean is a shared responsibility. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire others — our students, our parents, and the wider community — to cherish our natural surroundings, to act with civic-mindedness, and to always care for our environment.

In line with our core values, this go-green effort is part of our ongoing pledge to build a better and brighter tomorrow. Every piece of trash collected, every step taken in the right direction, helps move us towards a greener and cleaner Singapore.

Let us all do our part — love our nature, love our country, and take pride in keeping our nation beautiful for generations to come.
