At Hua Cheng, our mission goes beyond academic excellence. We are equally committed to making a positive impact on the wider community. As part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, our team recently participated in two meaningful initiatives focused on sustainability and community care.
Tree Planting – Supporting SG's OneMillionTrees Movement
Hua Cheng took part in a tree planting activity in support of Singapore’s OneMillionTrees movement, a nationwide initiative launched in April 2020 with the goal of planting one million trees across the island within 10 years.This effort reflects our belief in the importance of long-term environmental stewardship.
The act of tree planting is symbolic, it represents one generation laying the foundation for the next. This aligns with the Chinese proverb “十年树木，百年树人” (It takes ten years to grow a tree, but a hundred to nurture a person) which accentuates our slogan that education is a lifelong journey of continuous learning. By participating, we hope to contribute to a greener Singapore and underline our commitment to a sustainable future.

Park Clean-Up – Leading by Example at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park
In a separate CSR initiative, our team conducted a park clean-up activity, helping to keep one of Singapore’s most beloved green spaces clean and pleasant for the public.
Taking action through clean-ups is a simple yet impactful way to care for our environment. More importantly, as educators, we believe in setting good examples for the next generation, actively demonstrating desired values and qualities, inspiring others. This is inline with our overarching principle of being responsible, civic-minded, and with a sense of community spirit.
